Dr. Branka Pilić Delivers Plenary Lecture at the XVI International Symposium | 17.10.2025
On October 17, 2025, Dr. Branka Pilić had the honour of presenting a plenary lecture titled “Design and Processing of Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers for Advanced Applications: Integrating Experimental Strategies and the POLYMERS-5B Vision” at the XVI International Symposium “Novel Technologies and Sustainable Development”, held in Leskovac, Serbia.
The Symposium, organized by the Faculty of Technology in Leskovac, University of Niš, brought together leading scientists, researchers, and young innovators from Serbia and abroad to share cutting-edge research across fields such as chemical engineering, environmental engineering, polymer science, materials engineering, and sustainable technologies. The event, supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, features plenary talks, sectional lectures, and poster presentations, all aimed at advancing scientific knowledge and promoting sustainable development solutions.
Dr. Pilić was delighted to share the ideas and vision behind POLYMERS-5B, highlighting how biobased materials, innovative experimental strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration can contribute to sustainable and circular bioeconomy initiatives. Her lecture sparked engaging discussions on the role of advanced polymer research in shaping a more sustainable future.
