POLYMERS-5B takes part in the 2025 #CBEScaleUp Photo and Video Competition

January 29, 2026

POLYMERS-5B is pleased to announce its participation in the 2025 Photo and Video Competition #CBEScaleUp, promoted by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU). The initiative showcases how CBE JU–funded projects are moving from research to real-world impact, contributing to the scale-up of Europe’s bio-based and circular future.

For this edition, POLYMERS-5B has submitted a photo capturing a key achievement of the project: the proof of concept of a bio-based vitrimer resin and its successful recycling. The image visually represents how advanced polymer chemistry can enable circular material solutions for a low-carbon built environment.

The submitted photo was created by PhD Ralfs Pomilovskis (2025), from LSIWC, a partner in the POLYMERS-5B project.

By turning scientific results into compelling visual stories, POLYMERS-5B aims to make bio-based innovation more accessible and engaging, highlighting why these technologies matter for Europe’s sustainable transition.

We are proud to contribute to #CBEScaleUp and to celebrate the creativity and expertise driving the bio-based transformation forward.

And to our artist: best of luck in the competition—your work already feels like a winning shot to us!
