POLYMERS-5B at CBE JU Info Day 2025 | 03.04.2025
Strengthening Bio-Based Innovation Networks
Brussels was the epicenter of bio-based innovation last week, as the POLYMERS-5B team actively participated in the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) Info Day 2025. The event provided an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, fostering discussions with hundreds of stakeholders from across Europe’s bioeconomy sector.
Our team, represented for the occasion by NSBproject, Faculty of Technology Novi Sad (University of Novi Sad), and Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, shared key insights on sustainable polymer solutions and the impact of POLYMERS-5B in advancing circular bio-based materials.
About CBE JU and Its Mission
The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC). Its mission is to accelerate the innovation and market uptake of bio-based solutions, contributing to the EU Green Deal and the transition to a circular and climate-neutral economy. Through funding and support for R&D initiatives, CBE JU fosters collaboration between research institutions, industries, and policymakers to drive sustainable bio-based production and innovation across Europe.
The CBE JU Info Day 2025 served as an essential opportunity to:
– explore funding opportunities for bio-based projects.
– connect with industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers shaping the future of the bioeconomy.
– exchange insights on cutting-edge bio-based materials, technologies, and policies.
Our participation strengthened our network within the European bio-based community, highlighting the potential of POLYMERS-5B in developing next-generation, sustainable polymer solutions.
A special thank you to our Project Officer Simone Maccaferri, Communications Officer Elina Zicmane, and the entire CBE JU Communications team for their support in making this event a success.
