POLYMERS-5B joins the first CBE JU cluster workshop in bio-based materials for agriculture and packaging application | 17.06.2025
On 17 June, the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) hosted its first cluster workshop, bringing together over 30 Horizon Europe-funded projects to exchange knowledge and explore synergies in the field of bio-based materials for agriculture and packaging.
The event gathered more than 60 participants, including representatives from the European Commission, the Bio-based Industries Consortium, and the broader bioeconomy community.
We are proud to announce that POLYMERS-5B took part in the workshop. Professor Luis Fonseca presented the project’s objectives and current achievements, highlighting our contribution to the development of innovative and sustainable materials.
The workshop also welcomed the participation of our sister project, POLYMEER, coordinated by Professor Assunta Marrocchi. Their presence further reinforced the importance of collaboration between aligned initiatives in addressing common challenges in the circular bioeconomy.
With thematic sessions, project presentations, and networking opportunities, the event provided a valuable platform to strengthen cooperation and identify future research and policy needs in the bio-based sector.
We thank the CBE JU for the invitation and look forward to continued collaboration within this growing European community.
