POLYMERS-5B at BTechPro! 2026: Ralf and Mikelis in Sigulda

Ralf and Mikelis Kirpluks, senior researcher at the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (LSIWC), attended the BTechPro! 2026 – International Conference for Young Scientists on Biorefinery Technologies and Products, held on May 6–8, 2026 in Sigulda, Latvia.

BTechPro! is a biannual conference organized by the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (LSIWC), bringing together early-career researchers working on biomass processing and biorefinery technologies. The event offers a unique space for young scientists to present their work, receive peer feedback, attend plenary lectures and workshops, and build meaningful connections across research groups.

This edition was a special one for our group: Ralf successfully presented his research at an international conference for the first time. Stepping onto that stage for the first time is never easy — it takes preparation, courage, and resilience. We are truly proud of how he rose to the challenge.

Our senior researcher Mikelis was there alongside him, making this a shared experience and a strong representation of POLYMERS-5B on the international stage.
